Another Charge For Former Orillia Aquatic Supervisor In Connection To Historical Sexual Investigation

The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one male with numerous Child Luring and Child related sex offences.

On September 19, 2024, officers of the Orillia OPP received information regarding a historical sexual assault, child luring incident. Police were advised in 2021, the accused party was offering alcohol in exchange for explicit images of a female youth. At the time, the accused was an Aquatic Supervisor at an Orillia area recreation centre.

On September 23, 2024 Orillia OPP officers, with the assistance of the Digital Forensics Unit executed a search warrant at a City of Orillia residence.

As a result of this investigation, Manuel Marroquinn-Ramirez, 43-year-old of the City of Orillia has been charged with:
