Bracebridge Memorial Arena will Re-Open Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
Residents and visitors are advised that the ammonia leak caused by the refrigeration system at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena has been repaired.
Staff anticipates that the facility will re-open on Wednesday November 28th, 2018. The Town is awaiting final direction from the appropriate authority in regard to the exact timing for re-opening of the facility.

Bracebridge fire crews responded to the arena on Tuesday morning for the alarm call with levels increasing.
Effective immediately, residents and visitors are advised that the Bracebridge Memorial Arena has been closed due to an ammonia leak from the facility’s ice refrigeration system. At this time, the entrances onto Chub Downey Lane have been closed.
Residents are requested to avoid the streets surrounding the Bracebridge Memorial Arena.
Further notification will be provided once additional information is available.
The ammonia leak at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena has been contained.
Due to the leak, the arena will remain closed for the balance of the day, and all scheduled programming has been cancelled for November 27th
