The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone in the community who made the 31st Annual Salvation Army Project Porchlight Food Drive a huge success. Also, thanks to the volunteers who went to great lengths to collect and sort the food.

“Over 43,000 pounds of food was collected in a little over 3 hours,” explained Fire Prevention Officer Mike Vadlja. “It is amazing to see the support from our community. With up to 350 families being assisted each month, the donations received truly help those in need.”

If you would still like to donate, non-perishable food items can be dropped off at the Salvation Army Church on Mary St. East and at Fire Station #1 on Payne Drive.

On behalf of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department, THANK YOU to all that helped!
