This past Saturday was the 24th Annual Gravenhurst Car Show, taking place on Father’s Day weekend. Although the weather may have kept some guests away, there were well over 300 cars and thousands of spectators in attendance.
The show, which is sponsored by Gravenhurst Canadian Tire, took place at Gull Lake Park, and featured more than a dozen vendors and a kidzone, where children spent the day getting their faces painted, learning with the Gravenhurst Public Library staff and looking through an on-site ambulance with paramedics from Muskoka Paramedic Services.
The award for the People’s Choice Piston Cup, donated by Wayne’s Tire Discounter was awarded to Rod Barkey and his 1960 Impala. The award was chosen by spectators and fellow car owners, voting on their three favourite cars after making way through the park.
Dozens of other prizes handed out on the day included rounds of golf at the Muskoka Bay Club, jackets and toys from Kubota North and gift certificates from The Keg.
Working in partnership with sponsors like Sawdust City, Wayne’s Tire Discounter, Hagerty Insurance, Cavalcade Ford and the The Keg, the Chamber staff and volunteers were able to put on a successful show.
Muskoka411 was thrilled to be on location as a sponsor of this great event.
